Well, up and down with the weight again. Oh yay! I'm back to exercising now that I feel well enough, drinking 4 protein shakes a day and having one small, healthy meal for dinner. Think that would cause you to lose weight? Well, apparently not my body! From what I've learned over the last few years, if I am not on a completely liquid, low cal diet, I won't lose. I hate the fact that I have to struggle the way I do to lose anything. In the old days, I could go on an apple/potato diet for a couple of days and lose 10 pounds. Not now that I'm post babies and 40- sucks!!!
So what else can I do? Increase my exercise back up to 45 minutes five days a week and go completely liquid for a month or two. But. . . I don't want to do that! I enjoy food, the chewing, the knowing something substantial will be filling my belly. I think I will increase my exercise and make an appointment with Owens to have this thing adjusted again, after all, I am eating alot more than I can fit into the palm of my hand- that's for sure. Did I ever mention that is kind of the 'guide' for the band- that you are where you need to be when you are full from an amount of food that would fit in the palm of your hand- and no, that doesn't mean MOUNDED in your palm. I say that because I made Pad Woo Sen, a Thai food made with glass noodles for dinner last night. I ate about a cup of it but it was a mounded cup. I was still hungry afterward but I made myself deal with it and go to bed hungry. My calorie intake was just over 1100 yesterday. Not good. I guess today will be a real struggle- dinner tonight with my husband and 4 protein shakes again and I am sure I still won't lose any weight. Hmph!! The fight is already getting old.
